Lions Valley Lodge | Nambiti Conservancy | KwaZulu-Natal

Lions Valley Lodge is a luxury private game reserve situated on 21,000 acres of the Nambiti Conservancy. The safari reserve is in a malaria-free virgin bushveld area with mixed vegetation of savannah grasslands, indigenous trees and shrubs. It is home to the Big Five,  a large variety of antelope and smaller game species. There is an abundance of birdlife on the reserve for enthusiastic birders. Guests at Lions Valley Lodge are accommodated in free-standing thatched suites that offer maximum privacy. Each of the ten suites follows an individual décor theme.  All the suites are designed with ultimate relaxation in mind and have a lounge with a built-in fireplace and a mini bar.

Guests can relax in the private outdoor pool while enjoying the panoramic view over the game reserve and waterhole. The reserve is located in the Ladysmith area of KwaZulu-Natal and is close to the central Drakensberg and many of the historic battlefields. The region is steeped in history and is particularly well known for the Battle of Elandslaagte, which was fought on the reserve during the Anglo Boer War. Lions Valley offers a number of exciting activities for guests that include early morning and late afternoon game drives, bush braais and picnics at the waterfall, fishing for yellowtail in the Sundays River or for bass in the dams, golf at the nearby course, battlefield tours, bush survival and bush cooking courses and stargazing evenings.

Lions Valley is an ideal venue for that perfect bush wedding or birthday bash. Conference facilities for small groups are also available. The conference facility is well planned and includes all the necessary equipment.
